Classic drum-machine swing. The off-beat cycle lands late while the pair keeps its total length, so the grid never drifts. Shares the knob with Offset.
Gaps
Not every slice has to play. Raise the knob and steps start dropping out to open space, or route the silence into the Echo Tail of the last frozen moment.
Decay
Every repeat a little shorter. An envelope that rearms on each slice: rein in a busy hi-hat, or let a phrase dissolve as it repeats.

Everything travels with the file
Every frozen loop, every memory slot, every pattern lock sequence is serialized into the DAW project itself. Share the project and your collaborator opens the exact same state: no stems, no session folder, no missing files.
Run MLS as a VST3 plugin inside Ableton, Bitwig, or any compatible host, and the entire MLS state — freeze, slots, and knobs — is embedded in the project. You can also export any slot as a .mls file or a full .mlsbank, BPM included, to share or drag straight into another set.

Licensing & Activation
A one-time online activation of your license key, then MLS works fully offline for everyday use. It reconnects automatically in the background to confirm the license — quietly, without interrupting a session.
If a computer somehow never reconnects for 7 days straight, the Loop output pauses until the next successful check; your dry (Main) signal is never affected, so a live set never goes silent because of this. Any normal use of the computer keeps this from ever happening.
